Liz McKinney can be credited as one of the first in Canadian Radio to bring listeners the live on-air acoustic performances that have become a staple of rock radio. It was during her 6 years on Afternoon Drive at Vancouver's CFOX where Melissa Etheridge, Steve Earle, Concrete Blond, Bruce Hornsby, Lenny Kravitz or Jeff Healey could be heard playing live any given afternoon.In addition to the live performances, the show became famous for the memorable interviews with Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Lee Roth, Steven Tyler, The Scorpions and Robert Plant just to name a few.
